Note that all the stuff about wishing and the witch transformations still happens in this comic. It's just that Kyuubee is honest about everything here.
So instead of going in innocently they're going in with their eyes open, but that doesn't guarantee they won't be broken like in the actual anime. In a way that makes things even darker here.

The catch is that they are also a bit more honest and playful than their anime counterpart. This'll help a lot when their "depression time" comes, they can also comfort each other easier this way. Also possibly, this comic will end where no one turns into a witch yet or they'll turn after this comic has ended (out of the picture). Which means we can still expects happier ending.
