I always wondered how anatomicaly adept artists could reconcile 6 appendaged creatures like angels, pegasi, or centaurs. It still looks awful shady to me
Well, this is from the artist of Haibane Renmei, Yoshitoshi ABe. This is just some little drawing for his anime, not a drawing on how the wings would actually work. I don't think he cares whether it is correct or not.
Well, you have to also remember that these wings are not meant to work in the conventional sense. They're not going to fly with these and motion is minimal, so this diagram actually makes sense.
