There's a bit more to the resentment than that, actually. I can't claim to be an expert on the subject, but I do know it's about more than "foreigners occupying Japan." The Okinawans don't care so much about the base being in Japan as they care about it being in Okinawa, as opposed to somewhere with lower population density.

not anymore, if i recall they changed the entry requirments so that you can't have a History of Felony charges.
