While I agree that there's much sicker stuff than something like this, I'm going to point out that just because it exists doesn't mean it can't be well past the line for most people.

There is also the fact that this, unlike lot of other blood-related stuff, can actually be considered a form of cannibalism. Which might be the cause of the impact for some folk that actually know what is contained in the menstruation blood. <.<
