actually i deal with stuff way scarier than just a eye color change and a strange smile... in fact they wouldn't even be considered speed bumps from what we usually face... sure one can utterly annihilate you and the other is some what more tame. all you really need for them is to know who and what exactly they are, a few notes on habits and persona's and usually you can bribe/confuse/satiate/etc etc them.
