She did that herself, and her mind is sealed, cannot be read. She probably wants to show her sister what it's like to have that power, which is like sight to us, removed.

I think Koishi is trying to manipulate Satori's subconscious to make her want to go to the surface. Or something.

One thing that's clear is that the Third Eye is apparently a very sensitive spot. Look at that blush.

I imagine it would be like someone gently pulling your eyes closed: a pretty weird feeling, so no wonder she's blushing.

They (in this story) probably grew up with stories of being hunted by humans; maybe even other youkai. Satori's only idea of what the surface is could very well be a scary place.

Koishi wouldn't bite it. If the billions of other fancomics can be taken as a (un)reliable approximation of Koishi's personality, she'd most likely lick it.

But how terrifying it must be for Satori's consciousness to be shut like that. She has no clue what her body is doing. Her conscious mind had been closed and she is doing everything unconsciously. So in her own conscious perspective, everything had shut off. Wouldn't you find that kinda creepy, not knowing what's going on but being awake?

Though I kind of think that Satori's unconscious heart wishes for Koishi to come back as well, for things to go back the way they used to. But since she pulled her artery from her head, does that mean she's permanently unable to reopen her heart's eye?

It's the other way round. Satori and Koishi live underground because the youkai above are afraid of their powers.
You can imagine that there are many powerful youkai like Yukari who are much more afraid of someone knowing their secrets than anything else.

Anyway, it was agreed upon that the underground youkai don't come out and in exchange the youkai above look to it that nobody goes underground and generally don't meddle with them.
Koishi broke that agreement and that's why Satori reacts like that.

Now that´s a little confusing, seeing as how Okuu looks very little compared to her SA´s version, I would say it was a long time ago (and those gods were plotting stuff since then). But then we have Koishi clearly visiting Sanae´s garden (which should be in Gensokyo by now)and amusing herself over tomatoes.

I´ll go with what you say. The timeline is somewhere between MoF and SA and, maybe Utsuho just got bigger after eating tha Yatagarasu or something.

The agreement was that the "hated" youkai would live in the downsized Former Hell, and that the surface youkai wouldn't go underground. The chief instigator of this was the oni withdrawing from society where humans live, so non-interference by surface youkai was essential. As part of the agreement, the underground youkai were to keep the evil spirits in the Former Hell contained.

However, there was nothing in the agreement stating that underground youkai cannot come to the surface. That's why it was (canonically) no big deal for Koishi, and later Okuu and Orin, to play around on the surface once the incident had been resolved.
