If it worked with Haohmaru (of Samurai Spirits/Shodown fame),it can only works with Mitsurugi too.

Does that mean we might get old, wrinkled Misturugi with a long gray beard as the mandatory "badass old man" character in SC6 or 7? That would be great.

Soul Calibur 6 or 7 may be set a few months after Soul Calibur 5, so no.
