Normally, she (or he...) is a cheerful person. However, I wanted to express the fact that his daily life is occupied with loneliness, since he lives alone. I had a mental image of this picture that I wanted to depict, so when I was rendering it with Copic [markers] I thought to myself, to some degree, “Oh, I should have done it in acrylics,” but by then it was too late.

TL: This book was published in 2007 when Bridget used he/him pronouns. As of GG Strive (2022), she now uses she/her.

That's pretty sad for him. Doesn't he have a twin brother somewhere? Imagine living your childhood with your twin brother and having to live by your own later.
