Wait, I just thought of something. What if the tanuki is the one who turned into Marisa in the 3 fairies manga(forgot the name of manga)? Naaaaaah, I'm just looking to much into it.

Also, no Mima, I are sad, but these are cute non the less. I approve of their design.

EX-midboss is Nue; no other midbosses (unless I missed it).

I wonder what kind of youkai or spirits these characters are?

I'm very satisfied with the new characters. I liked all of them, especially Toyosatomimi.

Notice how they appeared just after Gensokyo got its first Buddhist temple....

What's the name of the final boss? I like her design the best. And it seems like I'm the only one but I think the Tanuki looks freaking terrible. Though I guess the EX boss designs have been pretty outlandish, this one is by far the worst.

I like the fourth boss the most because her battle seems interesting...

I never regret joining the world of Touhou and I will never regret it. Probably one of the best thing I did.

Yeah, I know this sounds pretty useless... According to someone from TvTropes Thread, this was the ability, which the historical figure actually possessed and gave him the nickname Toyosatomimi.

EDIT: Apparently, Kaku Seiga (霍青娥) is her actual name. Seiga NyonNyon (青娥娘々) is her title (it literally means "blue/green moth maiden" in chinese).

ZUN only used the word "He" to define him as being made into a fictional character so I'll still go with the she theory.

Beside, the chance that ZUN will make a new male character other than Rinno is very slim...if he does make one...it'll be a storm.

I think we should add Toyosato to the "Indecent Waki Exposure" group, along with Reimu, Suika, Momiji, and Sanae..

Miyazaki Hayao & Kojima Hideo have faced the wrath of the trolled ones (by them of course)...so why not ZUN?

Interested in knowing what the story plot is for the later stages and how a tanuki ties in with the rest of them. Was really hoping for some more returning characters, but having a Kogasa in is fine too.

Oh, what? So Toyosatomimi no Miko is not a man after all? That's a small disappointment. I was excited at some potentially interesting materials for doujinshi artists to work with (no, not love/molestation stories).

Maybe Miko will have some yuri relationship with Futo or Seiga.

is probable, but this no match with the "spirits" game

nue is plausible
a tanuki is very strange for a final boss, maybe for 1st stage midboss

mima for marisa or youmu ending is good choice
shadow version ex boss (shadow marisa, youmu, sanae or reimu

Nue is not an old nemesis by any means so...

Miko is the old nemesis, and a previously unseen one at that.

......I noticed that there are similarities between this crew and the Marine Benefit crew. You know, that fan game idea for Touhou 13. First of all...Soga has the same ability as Tubame, the third stage boss. Seiga has the same hairstyle as Otohime, the Extra stage boss. And then Mamizou generally has the same design as Konoha, who's also a Tanuki!
Not trying to call ZUN a copycat or anything, but it's a bit odd...especially with Tubame and Soga having the same ability for controlling thunder.
