Yorihime and her sister are not just strong but unbelievably broken-and arrogant to boot. It's kind of why they're the Scrappies of Touhou last time I checked.

I don't get why, they act like every other Touhou character. They're all pretty much outright jerks given the right circumstance. For the Lunarians it was being invaded. That's pretty justified if you ask me.

Anything made out of tungsten smaller than a skyscraper going "just short of lightspeed" would disintegrate few feet after entering the atmosphere (there was one, if I recall SSiB correctly). Sucks for Gauss cannons, but I bet the Lunarians kinda like it.

Yes, Toyohime's fan that once fall to Kaguya's hand, and she thought that's just a normal fan. But she's a princess and leader of the defence corps, so she'd likely have access to the best weapons.
The bigger problem in attacking the moon seems to be Toyohime instead of Yorihime. She control the barrier that separate the lunar capital with the moon of human world. Not getting through that and the cannon would add just another crater :P
