Small, decorative pieces of metal or plastic attached to clothing. They come in different sizes and styles—round or squared, pointed or blunt—and often come in multiple rows of studs. They are often worn on black leather clothes and sometimes associated with punk, goth, or biker fashion.
Not to be confused with spikes, which are round and sharp, or with stud earrings.
