When a character is completely transparent and cannot be seen by either the viewer or another character. Their clothes may or may not be invisible as well.
Not to be confused with invisible man, which does not refer to male characters who are invisible as part of their design, but is instead a convention of drawing generic anonymous/self-insert men in sexual scenes as transparent silhouettes.
