In Japan, "yaoi" is used to refer to NSFW content, while "boy's love" is used to refer to SFW content. On Danbooru, "yaoi" is used for both; use yaoi is:nsfw or yaoi is:sfw to distinguish between them.
This tag doesn't apply to physical objects, such as yaoi manga. Use yaoi (object) in combination with fujoshi, fudanshi, and/or otaku instead.
