The Iron Cross (Eiserne Kreuz) is a German and Prussian military symbol and decoration medal. Its design consists of a black cross pattée with white outline. Its use continues within the Bundeswehr service (after 1956).
Several video games like WWII-themed shooters, Kantai Collection and Azur Lane will use Iron Crosses to substitute the swastika in order to comply with censorship laws and avoid offending their audience with Nazi symbols.
