    ドイツアフリカ軍団 DAK

The Deutsches Afrikakorps (DAK), was the German expeditionary force in Africa during the North African Campaign in World War II. First sent as a holding force to shore up the Italian defense of their African colonies, the formation fought on in Africa from March 1941 until its surrender in May 1943. The insignia was a palm tree with a swastika.

The unit's best known commander was Field Marshal Erwin Rommel.

DAK personnel are distinguishable by their light brown/sandy beige-colored attire and vehicles instead of the iconic Feldgrau (field grey). They also wore reed green uniforms that quickly fades into sandy colors under the sun. Some soldiers sported pith helmets in addition to the standard-issue Stahlhelme.
