The protagonist of the Coraline novel by Neil Gaiman and its film adaptation. She is a feisty and curious adventurer who moved from Pontiac, Michigan with her parents to the Pink Palace Apartments in Ashland, Oregon. With her parents perpetually working and offering little attention to her, Coraline becomes increasingly bored and neglected and thus, decides to become an explorer of their new living location.
