The killer from the horror film series A Nightmare On Elm Street. The malignant spirit of a child-killer who was killed when the parents of Elm Street took the law into their own hands after he got off on a technicality, Freddy seeks revenge upon them by going after their children. He does this by attacking his victims in the dream world, any damage that he inflicts in a dream crossing over into the real world, meaning that if someone dies in a dream he is invading, they die for real. One of his trademarks is the clawed glove that he wears on his right hand, which he uses as his primary weapon.
