It's about Rex Salazar, who can transform their limbs into various mechanisms to combat EVO.

The series had a crossover movie with Ben 10: Ultimate Alien called Ben 10/Generator Rex: Heroes United. The 2016 reboot had a special episode revealing that the setting of Generator Rex is part of that universe.
