A wildly eccentric, chaotic, fun-loving and boredom-hating girl who frequently subjects her friends and Trainer to slapstick pranks and bizarre antics. Like the real horse, "Golshi" is both an exceptional racer with surprising intellect and nearly impossible to actually control, showing remarkable talent whenever she actually puts effort into things.

Gold Ship is also the "self-proclaimed PR manager of the Umamusume franchise", running the Pakatube Twitter and often appearing as a virtual Youtuber on the series' official Youtube channel.

As her real-life lineage has some "serious implications" in the Uma-verse (being both a member of the Stay Gold clan and a descendant of the Mejiro family), she is often portrayed as an aged down child, both in fanworks and the official gag manga Umamusume: Peace Peace Cepea Cepea Golshi-Chan.
