Honjou Kirou (1901 - April 21, 1990) was an aircraft designer and engineer who worked with Mitsubishi (and Horikoshi Jirou) during World War II. He was Jirou's senior in the company and co-designed several bomber aircraft of the Imperial Japanese Navy, namely the Mitsubishi G3M and G4M.
He appears in the 2013 film Kaze Tachinu (The Wind Rises) albeit he is incorrectly portrayed as a close colleague of Jirou. He is voiced by Nishijima Hidetoshi (JP) and John Krasinski (EN).
