Lalah was forced to work in an Indian brothel in her youth, but was rescued by Char Aznable to whom she is fiercely loyal and forever in debt. She later becomes a very dangerous newtype Zeon ace pilot in her own right. Her mecha of choice is the Elmeth.
She tragically dies during a pivotal spacebattle, accidentally killed by an unwilling Amuro while defending her savior and protector Char. This event would haunt both Amuro and Char for the rest of their lives.
In the SD Gundam skits, she is shown having the business end of a beam saber for a bindi.
Also appears in Gundam GQuuuuuux. In this timeline she is not rescued by Char and remains a high class prostitute. However, she is still a newtype and senses the Elmeth from another universe that has been in statsis underwater and was found by the Zeon forces. Lalah is eventually rescued by the GQuuuuuux Char Aznable at the end of the series.
