Sayaka is one of Kaname Madoka's best friends since childhood. She has a strong sense of justice, has a crush on Kamijou Kyousuke, and sees the world with a "black and white" mentality. Her worldview is challenged however after she's thrust into the world of magical girls, first by encountering Tomoe Mami, and later by contracting with Kyubey, which causes her to get into trouble with Akemi Homura and Sakura Kyoko, although she starts developing a complicated relationship with the latter.
