Optimus Primal is an heroic maximalAutobot, a sentient alienrobot that can transform into a dark grey, red, silver and blue mechanical gorilla.
In Japan his name was changed to Beast Convoy. He later appears in the Beast Wars II movie when Lio Convoy uses a time machine to bring him to their time period after Galvatron summoned MajinZarak.
