Shimakaze (島風, lit. "Island Wind") is the personification of the Japanese destroyer Shimakaze in Kantai Collection.

Shimakaze has long blonde hair and grey eyes. She wears a cropped serafuku, striped thighhighs, white elbow gloves, a short miniskirt with black highleg panties which show off her ass, and a black hairband with long floppy "ears". She has small robot familiars called Rensouhou-chans which represent her three twin 12.7 cm/50 naval gun turrets.

The popularity of her distinctive and revealing outfit has spawned many cosplay posts. She is also frequently portrayed as a trap (Shimakaze-kun) or as an unrelated boy crossdressing as her.

Her fan nickname is Zekamashi, Shimakaze spelled backwards due to pre-1946 Japanese orthography reading horizontal writing right-to-left, after it was written on an innertube on a Rensouhou-chan.
