    シャッフル

    Manipulation of playing cards to randomize their order to ensure fairness in games. Two of the most common shuffles are the overhand shuffle (where small packets of cards are transferred from one hand to the other) and riffle shuffle (the deck is split into two halves and interleaved). Simply swirling cards around with the hands and then gathering them into one neat pile also counts a shuffle, called the Corgi shuffle.

    Card springs have been mistaken as shuffling, but they do not usually involve randomization unless the transfer is disturbed.
