Avengers #223 (Jun. 1982)
A supervillain from the Marvel universe, real name Anthony "Tony" Masters. Created by writer David Michelinie and artist George Pérez, Taskmaster first appeared in The Avengers #195 (May 1980). He is the father of Finesse.
Once an agent under S.H.I.E.L.D., he discovered an experimental Nazi version of the Super-Soldier Serum during a mission and injected himself with it. After injecting himself, he gained additional powers and his personal memories were slowly overwritten by memories he gained by watching others and as a result, he would forget his wife, Mercedes Masters and his history with S.H.I.E.L.D. Mercedes would help guide and control Tony under his new guise "Taskmaster", acting as the handler for his mercenary work, which she also did to help with his memory loss condition.
As the serum Taskmaster injected himself with altered his brain chemistry, Taskmaster has photographic reflexes which allows him to copy any physical activity and duplicate it instantly, as well as movement prediction, kinesic recognition and superhuman speed. Taskmaster wears a white hooded cloak with the hood up, a skull mask, a blue and orange bodysuit, a brown belt, white gloves and white boots. He is often seen wielding a sword and a shield.
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a female version of Taskmaster named Antonia Dreykov first appeared in the Black Widow film and later in the Thunderbolts, where she is portrayed by Olga Kurylenko. He also appears in various games, including Marvel Future Fight and as a playable character in Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
