Celsius scale: A 100 degree scale with 0 degrees water freezing and 100 degrees water boiling. Fahrenheit scale: A 180 degree scale that is offset 32 degrees, with 32 degrees water freezing and 212 degrees water boiling. 0 degrees being the freezing temperature of a solution of brine. Kelvin scale: A Celsius derivative scale that is an absolute temperature scale with 0 being the point which enthalpy and entropy of a cooled ideal gas reach their minimum value, also known as absolute zero. Units are not referred to as degrees like Celsius or Fahrenheit.
