Witch Bandora is a villain in Kyouryuu Sentai Zyuranger. She was once the Queen of the Dall Tribe, who sold her soul to Dai-Satan for the power to avenge her son Kai, who was killed by a Tyrannosaurus for breaking its eggs. Unfortunately, in doing so she lost all memory of Kai, leading her to wage war on the other tribes and drive the dinosaurs to near-extinction before the Guardian Beasts sealed her and her followers away on the planet Nemesis. Years later, a group of astronauts would unwittingly release them, leading to Bandora resuming her mission to turn Earth into a barren wasteland, but was opposed by the Zyurangers, who had been put in magical stasis to awaken and protect the earth in the event of Bandora's escape.
Her counterpart in (Mighty Morphin) Power Rangers is Rita Repulsa. Originally portrayed by Soga Machiko in both shows, albeit dubbed over by Barbara Goodson in Mighty Morphin, with Machiko even recording new scenes for the series' first two seasons (the footage often being referred to as Zyu1.5 & Zyu2), before being replaced by Carla Perez that season, giving Lord Zedd a love potion and 'aging herself down slightly' as to marry him in that continuity.
Rita Repulsa would also appear in the 2017 Power Rangers movie reboot, potrayed as the original Green Ranger before becoming Rita.
