Abraham Jay "Abe" Simpson II, commonly known as Grampa Simpson or simply Grampa, is a major recurring character in the american animated comedy sitcom The Simpsons.

Is the patriarch of the Simpson family, the father of Homer Simpson, Herbert Powell, and Abbey and the paternal grandfather of Bart, Lisa, and Maggie Simpson. Abe is a World War II veteran later sent to the Springfield Retirement Castle by Homer. He is known for his long, rambling, and often inaccurate stories and general incompetence.
