african penguin (kemono friends)
A Kemono Friends character and one of the many "Friends" in Japari Park. African Penguin, also sometimes known as Cape Penguin, first appeared in Kemono Friends Pavilion and has since appeared in Kemono Friends 3. She looks up to Humboldt Penguin and is sometimes shown to have a competitive but sisterly dynamic with her.
In April 2021, a virtual YouTuber based on African Penguin debuted under the franchise's KemoV Project label as one of its founding members, alongside Humboldt Penguin; similarly to their in-game counterparts, these two posed as sisters. In May 2022, African Penguin graduated from the KemoV Project amicably and on her own terms, becoming the first graduated member of the project.
