Arven, known as Pepper (ペパー) in Japan, is one of the rivals in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
He is the character that gifts the protagonist Koraidon or Miraidon, as well as the main character of the Path of Legends storyline. Initially standoffish and quick to anger, Arven warms up to the protagonist over the game and eventually reveals that he is searching for the Herba Mystica in order to heal his Mabosstiff, who has sustained a grevious injury.
He is the son of the game's professor, Sada in Scarlet or Turo in Violet.
