batou (gits)

Batou (バトー) is one of the main characters from Ghost in the Shell.

Batou is the partner of and apparent second-in-command to Major Kusanagi Motoko of Public Security Section 9's counter-terrorist unit. He is also often paired with Togusa, acting as a mentor to the younger operative.

An ex-Ranger, he is a large, muscular cyborg with mechanical eyes; he has gray hair tied into a ponytail.

Batou's eye implants were inspired by the character of Molly Millions from the 80s cyberpunk novel Neuromancer.
