bazzite (linux)
Open source Linux spin, created by Kyle Gospodneitch and a part of the Universal Blue project. Bazzite focuses on delivering an out-of-the-box gaming-ready setup for Linux, including applications like the Steam client and drivers for hardware like nVidia GPUs and Xbox controllers that other distributions typically do not include out of the box. As a Universal Blue spin, Bazzite is built off the Atomic variants of Fedora, which packages system updates in a singular image file which allow for easy and clean updates and rollbacks of the system without affecting a user's data and programs.
In addition, Bazzite offers "deck" variants that boot directly into Steam's Big Picture mode for a ready-to-use controller-friendly OS great for home theater and handheld PCs, a la Valve's Steam OS. Much of the attention Bazzite has garnered has been for their "deck" images offering a publicly availabe SteamOS-like install for all hardware before Valve could do so.
