A variant of volleyball played on the beach.

Unlike regular volleyball, there are usually only two players on a team.

Men's attire, at least in competitions, is usually a sleeveless shirt and shorts; for women, they typically wear a sports bikini, though more conservative players (especially from Islamic countries) may opt for more covered clothing.
