cannon dancer

キャノンダンサー

Osman, released in Japan as Cannon-Dancer (キャノンダンサー), is a side-scrolling 2D action platforming video game produced by Mitchell Corporation (which later became part of ATLUS). It was released exclusively as a coin operated arcade video game in 1996.

The game's director, Yotsui Kouichi (credited as Isuke), was also the director of the original arcade version of Strider and Osman is often referred to as "more Strider-like than Capcom's Strider 2". In contrast to Strider's futuristic Kazakh-NeoSoviet setting, Osman is set in a neon-lit cyberpunk Arabian setting, while Strider Hiryuu is replaced by a Middle Eastern protagonist named Osman (Kirin) who fights without any weapons.
