cramp

A sudden, involuntary, painful contraction of the muscles. Cramps are associated with strenuous exercise or with keeping an uncomfortable position for too long and can be intensely painful.

Signs of a cramp include a character looking at or grasping their thighs, calves, or a foot while in pain.
