crimean war
A war fought between the Russian Empire and an alliance consisting of the Ottoman Empire, France, Great Britain and Sardinia, which was fought from 1853 to 1856, ending in an allied victory. The war is mostly known for leading to a decline in Russia's influence in Europe as well as for the logistical and tactical incompetence shown by commanders on both sides.
