A professional basketball team based in Denver, Colorado, United States. They compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the league's Western Conference Northwest Division.
The team was founded as the Denver Larks in 1967 as a charter franchise of the American Basketball Association (ABA), but changed its name to the Denver Nuggets after just one season. When they won their first NBA championship in 2023, no NBA franchise had waited longer in terms of seasons played before winning their first title.
The Nuggets' current uniform colors are navy blue, powder blue, sunshine yellow, and white. The team's primary color is navy blue, while powder blue and sunshine yellow are used as accent colors.
