Dragon Ball Minus: The Departure of the Fated Child is a short manga story by author Akira Toriyama published in 2014. Featured in the Ginga Patrol Jaco comic as a bonus, it occurs prior to the Dragon Ball manga/anime series events, telling how Son Goku arrived on Earth. Remarkable for being the first work to introduce the identity of Goku's mother, Gine.

It was (mostly) adapted into animated format in the 2019 movie Dragon Ball Super Broly.
