dune (1984 movie)

A 1984 movie adaption of the 1965 science fiction novel Dune by Frank Herbert, directed by David Lynch.

Its reception was quite bad, and remains somewhat controversial due to it being regarded as sloppy and an overall poor adaptation of its source material, and the fact that significant creative liberties were taken by Lynch, and due to the studio not wanting a 3 hour long movie it was heavily cut down. Regardless, the film is considered a cult classic having developed a die-hard following of fans.
