Equilibrium, known in Japan as Rebellion, is a dystopian science fiction/cyberpunk action movie directed by Kurt Wimmer about a future society that has outlawed human emotion in an effort to avert another disastrous war, and uses harsh tactics against those who refuse to take the emotion-deadening drug called Prozium. The movie is noted for introducing gunkata, the deadly firearm-based martial arts practiced by the future society's ultimate enforcers, the Grammaton Clerics, which has since been used in many anime and games.
