The very first Fire Emblem game, released for the Nintendo Entertainment System only in Japan in 1990.
It wouldn't be until 2020 that an official English translated version was released for the Nintendo Switch as part of the series' 30th anniversary.
It was also fully remade as Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon for the Nintendo DS in 2008.

This game introduces the protagonist Marth, whom Western players were first introduced to in Super Smash Bros. Melee before the actual game starring him was released.
