geinoujin kakuzuke check

芸能人格付けチェック 格付けチェック

lit. "Celebrities Grading Check"

A Japanese TV game show.

"Apparently first-class" celebrities challenge several quizzes of distinguishing highest grade things (foods, music, etc.) from poor ones.

As they answer wrong, they get "downgraded" to the following:

  • 一流芸能人: First-class celebrities (or A-list; the initial grade)
  • 普通芸能人: Ordinary celebrities (or B-list)
  • 二流芸能人: Second-class celebrities (or C-list)
  • 三流芸能人: Third-class celebrities (or D-list)
  • そっくりさん: Look-alikes (The real celebrities can't be this bad! They must be common people who just look like them...)
  • 映す価値なし: Not worth appearing (on TV; they really disappear by CG processing)
