Solid body electric guitar made and manufactured by American instrument maker Gibson. Used by famous musicians such as AC/DC's Angus Young, Frank Zappa and Radiohead's Thom Yorke.
Among anime and anime-themed characters, nitroplus's Super Sonico and Angel Beats!'s Yui are the most prominent.
Common visual traits of the SG include a short and round double-cutaway body, four control knobs, double humbucker setup and a tune-o-matic bridge with stopbar, with certain models (specially earlier) sporting a tailpiece instead.
