The main protagonist of Hunter x Hunter.
Gon is an athletic, rustic, and friendly young boy who had longed dreamed of becoming a Hunter like his father, Ging Freecss. In fact, the main reason Gon joined the Hunter Exam was so he could find Ging, and to see why he valued being a Hunter more than taking care of his own son. In the Hunter Exam, Gon finds Kurapika, Leorio and Killua, the other three main characters of the series. Killua later becomes his best friend.
Gon has spiky black and green tipped hair and brown eyes. His usual outfit is composed of a green jacket with reddish edges covering a black or white tank top underneath. He also wears green shorts and green boots. In some arcs such as the Greed Island and Chimera Ants he wears only the tank top.
