half-soles
A type of footwear used in the sport of rhythmic gymnastics and dance. Consists of a fabric or suede "pocket" that encloses the toes and the ball of the foot while leaving the heel exposed. Secured in place by a strap around the ankle. Also called half shoes or toe shoes.
