help:user records

The user feedback system is a way of recognizing users for positive or negative behavior. Positive feedback can be given to a user to recognize their contributions to Danbooru, or to recommend them for promotion. Neutral or negative feedback can be given to bring attention to disruptive or rule-breaking behavior.

Feedbacks can be seen on a user's profile, or on the User Feedbacks page.

Feedback can only be given by Gold users or above. To give a user a feedback, hover your mouse over their name, click the "..." menu, and click Give Feedback. Alternatively, go to the User Feedbacks page and click New at the top.

There are three types of feedback: positive, neutral, and negative. Positive feedbacks are given for good behavior, and negative feedbacks are for bad behavior. Neutral feedbacks are given as warnings, and automatically by the site for things like promotions or demotions.

Negative feedback should be given sparingly. Before giving a user a negative feedback, you should communicate with them privately to tell them what they're doing wrong and how to improve. Negative feedback should only be given for flagrant rule violations, or for continued bad behavior after having been warned. A neutral feedback should normally be given first, unless the user is deliberately breaking the rules, such as engaging in intentional vandalism or sockpuppeting.

If you have received a negative feedback, and you think it's unfair, or the problem has been resolved, you can appeal to have it removed by petitioning the mods or admins on the forum.
