human pyramid
A formation in which multiple people stack themselves in tiers, typically by having participants on all fours supporting others climbing on top, creating a pyramid-like structure.
In the context of Japanese school events such as sports festivals (運動会 / 体育祭), a human pyramid is a group performance or competitive activity where students cooperate to build increasingly tall and stable formations. The base layer forms a wide, low foundation, while successive layers climb and balance above, sometimes culminating in a single person standing or posing at the top.
