hwang mi-ae

Hwang Mi-ae is the female protagonist of the webcomic After School Lessons for Unripe Apples. She is a third year student of Baekje Middle School and former childhood friends with the male lead, Kim Cheol. She's energetic with a cheerful and kind personality, though it is often pointed out that she is absent-minded and childish in many regards. She is deeply considerate of her peers and quick to defend her friends even if it will lead to misunderstandings among them.

Her appearance is most noticeable due to her short stature, especially in comparison with her male peers with her being seen as a child next to Cheol, as well as her thick eyebrows. Her hair changes often throughout the story, but she is most often seen with a bob cut as her school's dress code requires girls and boys alike to have short hair.
