imperial german flag
The national flag of the German Empire. It consists of three equal horizontal bars of black, white and red. It is sometimes seen defaced with the iron cross, which was the marine jack of the German Empire.
This flag and the Imperial War Flag are often used as substitutes of the Nazi Flag or Nazi War Ensign, which are illegal in Germany.
